'ATTUNGA' HOUSE

The Yowie Bay 'Attunga' House is deeply connected to its site—set in a high location, aptly named Attunga. 

A key design consideration was to frame the stunning views over Port Hacking and beyond to the Royal National Park, while ensuring the house harmonized with the landscape, rather than dominating it. The site slopes gently downward, starting from the narrow pinch point of the driveway at the top and opening up to the Port Hacking waterfront at the rear. The house adapts to the contours of the site and the foreshore line, with its angled layout widening the rear elevation to offer expansive views of this remarkable location.
